CloudNativePG
CloudNativePG provides PostgreSQL databases in a Kubernetes environment. It supports resilient database operation with replication, automated failover, and recovery mechanisms.
What does CloudNativePG do?
CloudNativePG runs PostgreSQL instances as Kubernetes resources. It keeps databases available when an instance fails and supports scaling and recovery as requirements change.
Why Managed by SysEleven?
SysEleven operates the database instances and the required CloudNativePG components within the agreed service scope. This includes lifecycle management, updates, and monitoring of availability, replication, and failover events.
Backup and recovery
Regular database backups can be configured separately. A restore uses the backups available under the agreed backup setup.
Replica clusters
Replica clusters can continuously receive data from a source cluster. They can support disaster recovery or read-only workloads such as reporting. Replica clusters are not part of every standard deployment and require a separate agreement.
Your responsibilities
You manage your database content and application-specific settings, including schemas, tables, users, roles, and how your applications use database connections.
