Percona XtraDB Cluster (PXC)
The PXC Operator runs MySQL-compatible Percona XtraDB Cluster databases in Kubernetes. Multiple database nodes replicate data synchronously to support availability and consistency.
What does PXC do?
PXC provides a database cluster for applications that need MySQL compatibility and resilient data storage. Its clustered architecture allows database operation across multiple nodes.
Why Managed by SysEleven?
SysEleven operates the PXC components and database instances within the agreed service scope. This includes updates and monitoring of instance availability, cluster health, and replication status.
Backup and recovery
Database data requires a service-specific backup and recovery setup within the agreed scope. Velero's standard backup covers the Kubernetes resources and configuration of the Building Block, not the data stored in the database.
Your responsibilities
You manage database content and application-specific settings, including schemas, tables, users, roles, and your applications' database connections.
