Traefik

Traefik is a Kubernetes Ingress controller and reverse proxy. It routes incoming HTTP and HTTPS requests to the appropriate application services.

What does Traefik do?

Traefik discovers services and routing configuration from Kubernetes resources. It can route requests by hostname, path, or header, distribute traffic across backend instances, and terminate TLS connections. Configuration changes can be applied dynamically as services change.

Traefik can run with multiple replicas to support availability and growing traffic.

Why Managed by SysEleven?

SysEleven deploys, maintains, updates, and monitors Traefik within the agreed service scope. This provides a managed entry point for applications running in the cluster.

Your responsibilities

You define and maintain application-specific routing rules, such as hostnames and paths. You also configure settings your applications require, including headers and authentication mechanisms.
