Managed Hosting (Cloud)

We offers managed hosting solutions tailored to your specific needs for high-load, business-critical web applications. These solutions are designed with a focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:

  • Security,
  • Performance,
  • Flexibility, and
  • Customization.

To achieve these goals, our cloud-based Managed Hosting provides specialized services delivered by experts across various fields.

Managed Hosting

Infrastructure in our own data centers

Benefit from our extensive experience in operating data centers—managed by our own teams—that hold BSI 27001 and ISO 27001 certifications. Our platform team works hand-in-hand with our Network Operations Center to provide our customers with top-tier infrastructure. Under BSI standards, our data centers are distinct availability zones.

Virtual servers

Our experts manage hundreds of servers on modern infrastructure featuring redundant internet connectivity across multiple availability zones, all linked by a dedicated fiber-optic ring. This makes geo-redundant setups easy for us to implement. You avoid the need to invest in hardware and software, handle managed service contracts, or establish an on-call support team. You gain the assurance that your high-availability web application can be adapted quickly and flexibly to your customers' growing needs, without the burden of complex investment and capacity planning. Our virtualization layer forms the foundation for your web application's high availability while simultaneously delivering a high-performance solution for virtual servers and secure networks. We take full responsibility for the hardware, virtual instances, the accessibility of your installations, and the entire lifecycle of the operating system stack.

Risk mitigation

Availability Our managed cloud solution serves as the cornerstone for enhancing the availability of your services. Virtualization enables rapid recovery from backups, the cloning of virtual servers, and migration to different hardware nodes. By distributing redundant services across separate hardware, we decouple your services from the availability of the underlying hardware layer, minimizing the risk of service outages. With an optional geo-redundant setup and backups stored in a separate availability zone, your services remain online even if one availability zone fails.

Attacks

Our dedicated Network Operations Center (NOC) not only manages redundant internet connectivity for our availability zones but also offers specific products and processes to handle DDoS attacks against your services. What’s more, we employ hardware-based traffic management that operates redundantly across availability zones. We would be happy to provide you with detailed information on this option.

Managed Cloud Services

Our top priority is to build, monitor, and maintain all the services required for your web application to function flawlessly. We handle this via our Service Operations Center—available 24/7/365—and can perform tasks at any time you choose, without disturbing your staff's rest. As part of the software lifecycle management process, we address aspects such as security and long-term support to safeguard your investment and ensure a favorable Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Our services are so transparent that the experience feels just like having an in-house department. Your project managers can use our helpdesk portal to coordinate change management and monitor the resolution of incidents. Defined service requests for each managed service streamline communication, enhance quality, and ensure high customer satisfaction. Our Customer Operations Team works closely with our project management staff to support every service transition—ranging from expanding or modifying existing services to fully transitioning a service design into live operation.

Project and Service Management

Project Management

In project management, you benefit from our experienced project managers, who are intimately familiar with the many obstacles that can stand in the way of a successful launch for your web application. Together, they establish a schedule with you, clarify key details early on, and assist with budget planning. Even after a successful launch, our project managers remain available to support the ongoing development of your complex, business-critical web application whenever needed. Based on experience, if the complexity of changes exceeds a certain level, we proactively suggest assigning a dedicated project manager to help shorten implementation times and manage scheduling.

Service Management

Service management provides a team to support you with all your planning needs. In weekly status meetings, you discuss active tickets, your project roadmap, and operational issues with our team. You receive service level reports to assess service quality, allowing you to quickly and easily review KPIs and refine your service design. Our ITIL-trained service managers provide support in:

  • Service Design
  • Service Transition, and
  • Service Operation.

You decide which areas require support. Beyond our standard best-practice processes, we offer services such as:

  • participation in CAB meetings,
  • enhanced change and incident management processes, and
  • a Single Point of Contact

for our customers. Further information can be found in our "Service Management PVC" product description.

Service Management Enterprise

To safeguard your revenue 24/7/365, it is not enough to operate the technical platform and necessary services or to resolve faults as they arise. Your application is a vital component of the value creation process that makes your revenue generation possible in the first place. However, this is precisely where the necessary "round-the-clock support" is often missing, as it is both labor-intensive and costly, and often unavailable either in-house or through your agency. With its "Enterprise" add-on, we offer a service management extension that addresses this need—providing, among other things, application troubleshooting based on your operations manual. Other key aspects of the Enterprise environment include:

  • A dedicated point of contact
  • Active optimization of your setup through a continuous improvement process
  • Tailoring our standard processes to your specific needs
  • The option for English-language communication

Consulting from the Professional Services Unit

New technologies often present significant challenges for customers and agencies alike. Our consulting team supports you in overcoming these challenges by leveraging insights gained from numerous projects. We work with you to develop custom scripts, assist with the transition to new technologies and processes—such as the OpenStack Cloud and help migrate your applications to the latest operating system and software versions. Naturally, we also address current issues such as mitigating DDoS attacks on your web applications and supporting penetration, vulnerability, and load testing.
