Backup and Restore of Virtual Servers

Description

As a standard procedure, we perform daily backups of the relevant file systems for all virtual servers in your setup. The backup schedule is defined in the SLA appendix of the contract; typically, this entails retaining 3 monthly, 4 weekly, and 7 daily backups. The backup process captures the virtual server's entire file system. This means that non-persistent data—such as information residing only in RAM (common with caching services, for instance)—is not included in the backup. A restore operation is a standard process that restores data from a specific backup. Restores are performed only in coordination with you or upon your explicit request. Backups for Percona MySQL databases are described in our document Managed Service - Percona MySQL. This service can serve as a component of your disaster recovery strategy. Configurations

Backup Premium

Our premium standard option offers 99.5% availability and stores your backups in a separate availability zone. This ensures that, following an emergency in the primary hosting availability zone—which could otherwise render all systems in that zone completely inaccessible—your setup can be restored in a different availability zone. ## Important Notes Restoring the setup in a different availability zone requires commissioning reserve capacity, which may incur additional costs.
